  aphrodite possesses the power to manipulate her physical surroundings--on a small scale--in order to make them prettier. this allows her to transcend other mediums, such as the earth, in order to make something more sensually and aesthetically appealing. for example, if a garden or other patch of earth could use a bit of sprucing up, she can conjure flowers, tress, animals, etc. in order to make it more attractive. she can also modify people's appearances to a limited extent but she's not a miracle worker. the ability is initiated through touch; she has to have her hand or fingertips on the subject in order to manipulate it. the more effort she needs to use, the more contact she needs to have. the effects aren't permanent, though, and most objects (people or otherwise) tend to revert back to their previous condition within 2 to 6 days.

  aphrodite also has the ability to influence humans on an internal level--namely, their emotions. she can instill almost any emotion into any heart, whether it be love, anger, jealousy, or sadness, to suit her purpose. the more effort she exerts on her part (and the longer she remains in contact with them) the more strongly a person will feel said passion. much like beautification, aphrodite must be touching the person whom she is manipulating. the instant she breaks contact, the effects will begin to wear off; and, depending on the extent to which she influenced the person, they will often wear off quite quickly. usually, it only takes about ten to fifteen minutes for someone's head to clear, although it can take up to a day under extreme cases.
