Lucifer had ordered.. some kind of meat dish, it looked like steak from what Kaede could tell. The man would eat with prose and delicacy, but with an air of reign and power; and only Lucifer could do such a thing. The vampire would only twiddle his fingers like an impatient schoolgirl, too hesitant to take another sip of the blood he was given and far too afraid to say anything. His head perked up as Lucifer called out to him. "Are you hungry?" he had asked. Kaede shook his head, hair flying sporadically. "N-No.. I don't eat m-much anyway..." he said, and this was the obvious truth. You could tell from how lithe and petite he was that he didn't eat like a King - or a normal person, that is. Amber spheres focused downwards, too afraid to meet the piercing and heavy gaze of the Archdemon. The fierce smell of a deceased carcass - a vampire - wafted through the area and he nearly gagged with repulse. A pang of guilt twitched in his heart as the carcass laid in the middle of the street, no remorse for the creature at all. The urge to run over to it, and see if there was any hope was futile and a waste of his time. He couldn't act out of turn.. not around Lucifer. buyin' all the things i never hadlucifer finished his plate, and with a happy sigh he would shift his chair back and stand. a hand lifted, a flick of the wrist as he motioned towards the other to follow in line. "come." he would coo, turning on his heels and walking away down the road.
the duo would pass through the city, the sky above them dim and dreary with reddish clouds that seemed to sprout flames instead of lightning. lucifer would stop before a building, which appeared to be a fashion store. "when i'm down i simply come here," he would state at the door of the building, smiling gently as he entered. "i supposed dressing up in different clothes makes me feel better, but then again it's not like i don't already own these clothes." though he was arrogant, it was the truth. he owned this store, thus could do as he pleased with it.
however, he wasn't here for himself. placing himself down upon a bench before three different mirrors and an extravagant display of different clothing - ranging from styles from eden, earth, and purgatory; even their home kingdom represented. "go ahead and find some clothes. don't worry, about time. i've all the time in the world, aha!"

[/color] they never saw ( *) coming ![/color][/size][/font][/center] Noticing that the archdemon of pride had finished his food, the boy tipped the crimson liquid down his throat and dabbed at his mouth with the napkin. The metallic taste was pure bliss and unconsciously his pink tongue darted over the enlarged fangs, rubbing at them gently. They were sore.. he hadn't bitten anything in a while. As Lucifer beckoned for the vampire to follow, Kaede stood and gave a gentle nod of his head; and swiftly would follow behind the man, careful not to trip over any stray stones.. or his own feet. He would speak nothing as he trotted behind loyally, far too afraid of embarrassing himself. The sky was maroon and illuminated on the City of Hebron and it would naively, give it the sense of warmth - when this city was the coldest of them all. They arrived at a fashion store, the decor intricate and very Gothic and Avant Garde - it was rather interesting. Kaede would only blink while being mesmerized, never have been into such a store. As Lucifer began his rambles about dressing up, Kaede glanced around - there was such a selection! When given the cue to pick what he wanted, he hesitated. His amber eyes glanced back to Lucifer, but he wandered around the place, until he had spotted something he wanted. He would soon return to the man with three shirts - one black sleeved one, a dark red one with a red pattern, and a plain white one with foreign characters on them. "U-uhm... buyin' all the things i never had oh, so humble. rather than take the hint, the little vampire seemed to just pick things out. when he returned with the clothing, lucifer merely chuckled and stood a bit, smirking as he took the clothes from the boy lightly and pushed them into the arms of one of his employees. "what i meant was that you should try clothes on, silly," the archdemon of fashion and success took a pair of clothes from a rack, twisted kaede around until he stood before the mirror.
"hmm... no, this looks horrible." he muttered, tossing the clothes away after putting them up against kaede in front of the mirror. after a few moments, lucifer gave kaede a large pile of clothing - shoes and accessories, and smacked the vampire's rear end playfully. "go into the stall, dress, come out, and pose. think of yourself as modeling, okay~?"

He asked him to pick out clothes, and that's what he did - so why would he take the clothes? Fearing that he had messed something up, his eyes locked with the floor of the boutique, until he would gently lift his head up hearing Lucifer speak. "What I meant was that you should try clothes on, silly." he had said, and Kaede expelled a breath of relief. At least he wasn't in trouble or anything. Blinking rather rapidly as he was spun around, he flushed at the sight of his reflection within the glossy mirror. Lucifer did not seem to be satisfied with the clothing he had chosen for Kaede, for he made a disgruntled and dissatisfied statement and chucked the clothes away. After a few moments, the man gave the boy a large pile of.. items - clothes, shoes, accessories, the works. Barely being able to hold them all, Kaede let out a loud shriek as the hand of Lucifer smacked at his rear end. His face had reached a full shade of pink, and he quickly scampered into the dressing room immediately. After a few minutes, Kaede chose something simple. A white shirt with some black embroidery on it and a pair of black pants with a few chains dangling from it. He stepped out of the dressing room, and simply stood there, feeling and looking dumb. "I feel weird.." he said, lips forming a small pout. He sighed, giving a small shrug. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- tag; lucifer. word count: ... buyin' all the things i never hadhow cute. lucifer smiled softly, standing now as the boy was within more... 'appropriate' clothing. "see, you look great. less like a.. well, unfortunate little orphan child named jazaty."
... now that he said 'jazaty', it did sound pretty italian. under his breath he muttered the name in more 'mario' accent, though waved it off as he had the clerk gather all the clothing in a few bags and thrust them into kaede's arms. "don't worry, it's all free. consolation for not being capable of saving that poor bastard in the street. i expect you to be at serpentine castle before nightfall."
and with that, he disappeared through the doors and exited.

[/color] they never saw ( *) coming ![/color][/size][/font][/center] Seeing the smile on Lucifer's face, the vampire would immediately fell quite relieved; he hadn't pissed him off or anything, so that means he's done something right. He blushed childishly at the compliment, rubbing the palm of his hand on the back of his head. Though, Kaede would blink in confusion - just who was this Jazaty? It sounded Italian though.. and there are Italian orphans? Just as he attempted to open his mouth and question Lucifer on what he said, a clerk came by and immediately gathered all the clothing. Quickly he darted back into the changing room and changed back into his old clothes, adding the outfit he previous donned to the clerk. They were swooped into bags and thrust into his arms, and he whimpered as he clutched onto them. "W-why do they throw everything into my arms...?!" he thought, inwardly groaning and whining like the wimp he was. He turned to Lucifer, who began speaking. "Don't worry, it's all free. Consolation for not being capable of saving that poor bastard in the street. I expect you to be at Serpentine Castle before nightfall." spoke the man - and quickly, he was gone. "... Serpentine Castle...?" he spoke softly, an eerie feeling being cast upon him. But he figured it would be unwise not to obey Lucifer - Serpentine Castle it was, nightfall.
